Bomb Blast in Afghanistan Kills 8 Civilians, Including 5 Women

Newstovote - Bomb attacks continued casualties in Afghanistan. Bomb planted on a roadside exploded on a passing car in southern Afghanistan today. As a result, eight civilians were killed.

Most of the dead were women and children. This was conveyed by local officials as reported by AFP on Friday ( 08/11/2013 ).

The eighth victim died of five women, two children and an elderly man. They were all killed when the vehicle they were on the bomb.

In that incident, three civilians were wounded. Zabul provincial police chief, Ghulam Sakhi Roghliwani, blamed Taliban militants as the mastermind behind the bombing.

Bombing near Qalat, the capital of Zabul province is the latest of a series of bomb blasts that killed more civilians than military targets.

According to the January Rasoulyar Mohammad, the deputy governor of Zabul province, the victims were from one family. They are heading towards Qalat when the incident happened. He also blamed the Taliban for the bombing.
